Bespoking your Kudocs account – company settings

What information can I add/ edit in the company/ entity settings?  There is a range of information you can add and edit here.  Please note that adding/ editing information in settings is an administrative action only – for example if a company adopts new articles or a new shareholders’ agreement, while you can add those documents to the settings for administrative purposes, that is not the same as completing the necessary legal steps to agree or adopt those documents.  You still need to complete the legal steps as well.

Information you can add to settings includes:

  • Upload a copy of the articles of association.
  • Company settings driven by the articles (e.g. can shareholders appoint a director by ordinary resolution, can directors remove other directors without shareholder approval, etc.)
  • Resolution expiry limits
  • Pre-emotion expiry limit
  • Upload a copy of the shareholders’ agreement (if there is one)

You can also add/ edit more general settings and information about your entity, such as:

  • UTR, PAYE, VAT numbers
  • SAIL address
  • Registered Email Address
  • Logo and sent from email name
  • Authentication code (provided you have the correct permission level)
  • Latest share certificate number
  • Share certificate layout
  • Users
  • Billing information (invoices if you pay by card)

Can I add my company logo to Kudocs?  Yes. Settings > Company > Add logo.

Where will my company logo appear?  This will appear in a range of places making it easy for you to distinguish between companies (if you have more than 1 on the system), and will also appear on an emails sent to stakeholders – to reassure them and drive engagement.

What if my trading name is different to my registered company name?  Not a problem.  While the main Kudocs account will be in the registered company name, you can change how the name appears in emails to stakeholders – for example if your shareholders are used to engaging with you using your trading name, rather than your official name.

Can I change the sender display name in emails that are sent from Kudocs?  Yes.  When Kudocs sends emails on behalf of the company (e.g. resolutions), the email will come from notifications@kudocs.co.uk.  However, the display name is how the sender appears in an inbox. Unless it is changed, this will default to your full company name (e.g. Kudocs Testing Email Senders Ltd).  To change this go to Settings > Company > Emails from Kudocs.
