Features from: 7 August 2025 – customise sender email address for portfolios, transfer from many to one

Change of sender email address – all customers: IMPORTANT

The email address that we used to send emails from the Kudocs system (e.g. user invitations, shareholder votes, emails with shareholder certificates attached, process update emails, Companies House filing notifications, etc.) used to be notification@kudocsemail.kudocs.co.uk.

This has now changed to notifications@kudocs.co.uk.  Please take note of this as you may need to update your mail systems, white/ black lists etc.

The sender email address can be edited by portfolio customers only – see update below:

 

Customer sender email address – Emails sent from the Kudocs system now come from notifications@kudocs.co.uk by default.  Portfolio customers can, however, edit the part of the email before the @ sign.  i.e. to their name – something like “bestcosecteam@kudocs.co.uk”.

This is easy to do.  Just go to Portfolio settings and you can see what the current email sender address is (default is notifications@kudocs.co.uk).  Click on {Edit} to change this to whatever you want.  You can always review and edit these changes.

The sender email address is different to the display name (which is how the email sender appears in the recipient’s inbox, rather than the email address).  Display name will depend on whether the email is sent in relation to an entity (which can be controlled in the settings page of the entity) or a portfolio. In all cases, the email sender address is the same.  e.g. the email sender address may be “bestcosecteam@kudocs.co.uk”, but the email will appear in an inbox as “Kudocs Example Ltd”.

 

Transfer shares from many shareholders to one – You can now use Kudocs to record a share transfer from one shareholder to many recipients OR from many shareholders to a single recipients.  This is particularly useful for restructuring transactions or company exits, when all the shareholdings are transferred to new single shareholder.

 

Appoint director – option to add UID – you now have the option to include UIDs when appointing new directors in Kudocs.  Although this will not be mandatory until 18 November 2025 if you have the UID already, why not include it when adding the director, so you have it stored, ready for the future.
