Features from: 4 Dec 2025 – witness signature, UID filing reminders and more

Removed requirement for witness DoB in witnessed signatures – as an security enhancement, we have always asked witnesses to provide their date of birth when signing a witnessed document in Kudocs.  This was not a legal requirement, but a Kudocs feature to prevent fraud.  However recent customer feedback asked for it to be removed as unnecessary.  So we have!  Now we only ask for witness name and address (and a tick box to confirm they are someone different to the main signatory!)

Improvements to upcoming UID filing reminder emails  – we now send out a range of emails to users advising them that UID filings are due in the coming weeks and if any UIDs are missing from the relevant companies.  We’ve made a range of improvements to this to make it clearer and easier to see what you need to do.

Begun updating Companies House form versions (after ECCTA changes) – in light of the changes that came into effect on 18 Nov 2025, a lot of CH forms have been slightly updated.  Although Kudocs does not use forms for submissions to Companies House (the system files electronically for you), users often like to preview a pdf of what the form would look like.  So we are working through all the forms and updating as needed.  This will be an ongoing project over the coming weeks.

Added watching only icon to entity lists and dashboards for ease of reference – we’ve add an eye icon in a few places to make it easier for you to identify which entities are “watching only”.  This is useful for subscription management, but also for managing which entities need UID information and which do not.

Completed filing reports – you can now generate a report on all filings submitted, or just the filings that attract a CH fee
