ECCTA & IDV implementation update – 1 Dec 2025

It’s been almost 2 weeks since the launch of the new IDV requirements at Companies House.  It’s worked pretty well, but there are still ongoing issues with how Companies House is handling filings that are affected by these changes, and the data they are providing around filing deadlines and windows.  Our blog and the resources page on our website have lots of background and information about what these changes are, how they affect you and what Kudocs has done to make your life easier.

Some of what we discussed has since been fixed/ changed.  This is an update on what is working and not working as of 1 December 2025.  Everything in Kudocs is working as planned.  The issues we are seeing are all connected to submissions or data from Companies House not being correct.

 

What’s working correctly:

• Incorporations
• Director appointments
• LLP member appointments
• PSC notifications

 

What wasn’t working correctly, but we think is working now (sorry to be vague, but this is what we think is the latest information and for the reasons below about filing status confirmation, we can’t be 100% certain!):

• Confirmation statement submissions
• PSC change of details
• PSC cessations
• Filings are now being processed and their status is updating correctly.  There are still a few that are showing as “pending” when have been processed, but Companies House is working through the backlog.

 

What’s not working:

• PSC UID filings are being rejected incorrectly by Companies House.  This is a known issue and Companies House are working on the resolution.  Hopefully all PSC UID filing windows are such that there is still plenty of time for the fix to be made.
• PSC08 and PSC09 filings still appear to not be working – they are being rejected incorrectly by Companies House.
• Some of the dates that define the deadlines or windows for submitting Stakeholder UIDs (i.e. confirming IDV) are incorrect.  These dates are provided by Companies House.  We have seen:
  • • Directors with the wrong filing deadlines: their whose deadlines should be the confirmation statement due date, but they are showing as 18 November 2025.
    • PSCs who are also directors with the wrong filing windows:  their filing window should be 14 days ending on the confirmation statement due date, but the are showing by reference to their birth month.

We are still waiting for information from Companies House about this as we do not believe that they will accept UID filings that are outside of the filing periods that they define, even if their own filing period are incorrect!
