Features from: 29 July 2026 – edit stakeholders without CH filing, MFA, ASA & SAFE
Edit stakeholder details and select to NOT file at Companies House – When you make a change to a stakeholder in Kudocs, if that change is notifiable to Companies House (e.g. change of service address, change of name, etc), Kudocs will submit that filing to Companies House for you, automatically as part of the process. Not all changes need to be notified to Companies House (e.g. change of email address) and Kudocs will detect that so that filings are only made in the right scenarios.
Now, even if a filing is due, you can still opt out of this at the final review stage – e.g. if the filing has already been made at Companies House and you are just updating Kudocs to match (and you don’t want to submit another filing).

MFA – you’ll have seen this already if you login using email and password (not SSO), but we now enforce MFA. After you enter your email and password, we will email you a one-time 6 digit code which you will need to enter in order to complete sign in.
If you sign in using Google or Azure SSO, we cannot force MFA. We strongly suggest that you enable (if not already done) MFA as part of those protocols.
Include comments when rejecting a confirmation statement approval – if you send a confirmation statement out for external approval and the approver rejects it, they must now provide some reasons/ comments for why they are rejecting. Those reasons will be emailed to the user who sent the confirmation statement out and be available to view in the process history in Kudocs.
Joint shareholders at incorporation – we often get asked if you can incorporate a company with joint shareholders. You can’t (see here for the reason why – blame Companies House), but we have made this clearer on the incorporation process.

6-monthly option vesting cycle – you can now add option grants that vest with a 6-monthly vesting cycle (as well as weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually.
LBG – when you use the tool to add details of LBG members in bulk, you can now add details of joint membership in the upload.
ASA/ SAFE registers – You can now record details of ASAs (Advance Subscription Agreements) and SAFEs (Simple Agreements for Future Equity) in Kudocs. They are in the same place as other ‘un-issued’ equity – i.e. options, warrants and loan notes.
LBG onboarding – We have removed the requirement that you had to add details of at least 1 member when onboarding an LBG. You can now add without any members, but then add them later.
Portfolio sender email display name (set a portfolio name, rather than company-specific names) – portfolio customers can now set the “email from display name”, so that it applies to all their entities in their portfolio (without having to add individually for each). E.g so all emails (e.g. confirmation statement approvals, shareholder resolutions, share certificates, etc) come from (e.g.) “The Best Cosec Team LLP” rather than from each individual entity. Portfolio Actions > Customisation > Custom Emails.
This is different to the email address prefix (the bit before the @), which can also be customised.

Incorporate with a stakeholder who is director and secretary – if you are incorporating a company and a director is also a secretary you can select that, rather than having to enter the same details separately for the director and then the secretary.

And, as usual, loads more under the hood!
