Duplicated stakeholders

I have spotted that my company contains multiple entries for the same stakeholder.  How can I fix this and merge them all into 1 person?  Sometimes because of the way that Companies House sends us data (or sometimes because of user error!) a company can contain duplicate entries of a stakeholder.  For example, 3 versions of the same shareholder, each owning a different number of shares, or someone who is listed separately as a director, PSC and shareholder.  This is not a problem.

Just contact Kudocs and let us know who the stakeholders are, and we can merge them all together for you.  This will include combining all their shareholdings (i.e. add them all together) and bringing all their transactions together under one record.

Can I combine/ merge stakeholders in my company (when there are multiple entries for the same stakeholder)?  Further to the answer above, admin users in portfolios can now merge stakeholders in the same entity.

Kudocs is designed so that each stakeholder in an entity (individual or corporate) has a single profile, but can have multiple roles attached to that profile.  E.g. There is 1 John Smith in a company, and he is a director, shareholder and PSC, rather than 3 separate John Smiths, each with an individual role.  There are a number of features in the system (at onboarding, incorporation or later) to allow you to add or connect a new role to an existing stakeholder. However, for a range of reasons, sometimes this does not work and you can end up with multiple stakeholders who need to be merged together.

To use this feature, go to Actions > View all Actions > Admin Changes > Merge Stakeholders and follow the instructions: Search for stakeholder by name. The first selected stakeholder will be kept as the primary record. All other selected stakeholder(s) will be deactivated and their data merged into the primary.
