Admin user tool – how to fix issues with data in Kudocs without completing transactions

What is this?  There are a number of reasons why the data in Kudocs may be incorrect or need to be amended.  For example if incorrect data was imported from Companies House during onboarding, an error was made when entering a transaction, two (or more stakeholders) need to be mapped together, etc.

Until April 2026, users needed to contact Kudocs support to fix these errors.  However, we are now rolling out the ability for certain portfolio users to make these changes themselves.  This is an ongoing project and more features will be added.  So if you may still need to contact Kudocs support if you cannot fix the issue yourself.

As of 30 April 2026, users can:

  • Merge multiple stakeholders (sometimes because of the way that Companies House sends us data (or sometimes because of user error!) a company can contain duplicate entries of a stakeholder.  For example, 3 versions of the same shareholder, each owning a different number of shares, or someone who is listed separately as a director, PSC and shareholder.  This can be fixed: see here.
  • Amend confirmation statement dates (to record a transaction that happened before the last confirmation statement, but was not added to Kudocs or updated the company registers – see here for more information).
